Benovia is a family-owned winery in the Russian River Valley that has been crafting exceptional wines with a unique sense of place for close to 20 years. Our acclaimed single-vineyard and estate-grown Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays are sustainably farmed and produced with little intervention, allowing the wines to speak for themselves. We are a close and enthusiastic team that values positivity, commitment to excellence, and celebrating all that makes wine country a special place to live and work. We are looking for someone to join our tasting room full-time and share our passion for remarkably crafted wines.
Who You Are:
• You are a passionate wine-lover with a penchant for providing an outstanding guest experience.
• You have a positive attitude and value collaborating with a team.
• You love learning about wine growing and winemaking and will proudly represent the quality of our wines.
• You are flexible and available to work on weekends and occasionally on holidays.
• You have a keen sense of detail and maintaining an immaculate tasting environment.
• You are at least 21 years old.
What You Will Do:
• You will greet and serve guests and provide a memorable and educational tasting experience in a welcoming and approachable manner.
• You will assist team members with the set up and breakdown of guest experiences, including minor housekeeping duties such as washing and buffing glasses.
• You will successfully operate the POS system, placing orders, and coordinating shipping.
• You will provide high quality customer service through answering phone inquiries.
• You will support winery growth through informing guests on wine club opportunities and selling memberships.
• You are willing to assist with other tasks when requested.
What Will Set You Apart:
• Knowledge of wines and wine production including WSET, CSW, CWE or Sommelier designations.
• Previous tasting room, customer service, sales, or hospitality experience.
• The ability to multitask in a busy environment without compromising quality service.
• The ability to interact with your audience and tailor your delivery to fit their preferences.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift 50lbs
Compensation:
• $20-$25/hr DOE
• Guarantee 32+ hours
